Although not visible to the human eye, predators can see this reflection and hone in on the bait fish. To mimic this, these new Bull Dawg colours have an innovative material in them which reflects the UV light and helps bring the predators to the bait.

The Magnum Standard Dawg is a 100% soft plastic lure. It is balanced with a jig head so it swims down at a 45 degree angle on the fall and swims horizontally on the retrieve. The Magnum Standard Dawg can be used as a crankbait, jerkbait or a jig and is one of the most versatile lures on the market today. When retrieved, it rocks back and forth as the curly tail waves frantically and it is this combination that drives large predators crazy. The Magnum Standard Dawg literally comes alive in the water and feels so real that fish grab it and won't let go.

Fish the Magnum Standard Dawg with a slow, medium or very fast retrieve while twitching and jerking it over weeds, on the edge of weed beds or around other underwater structures. The Magnum Standard Dawg can be counted down at about 1 foot (30cm) per second allowing you to put the bait right on the nose of any predator at any depth. Since fish often inhale the Standard Dawg without a fierce strike, you will feel only a subtle bump when the fish hits the lure. When you feel this bump, set the hook and hang on!
