The Varivas 2600V carbon steel series hooks, as well as being great hooks, are superb when it comes to tying larger salt water and pike flies. They are made to the highest specifications and are the ultimate when it comes to sharpness. These modern looking hooks were designed by IGFA fly rod world record holding angler Eizo Maruhashi using high power carbon and stainless steel for extra strength enabling the fly fisher to hook, play and land large hard fightng predators.
The gape on these hooks is larger than that found on traditional hooks (for example on a 4/0 Varivas 2600V hook it is comparable to the gape on a traditional style 2/0 hook). Packed in 12s, all hooks come in a unique stackable plastic box with a flip open front panel to protect and organize them. The Varivas 2600V hooks are produced from heavy high power carbon steel, are short shanked and have a wide gape. They feature extra sharp V cut points, straight eyes and a unique rust resistant finish to keep the hooks sharp and shiny.
