is a Danish company specialising in creating high
performance fishing lures for targeting predatory fish,
particularly pike and zander. Specimen Gear try to build in
as many deadly tricks and features into their lures as
possible to give anglers that little extra edge.
Gliding Woody
The Gliding Woody jerkbait lure is designed to target pike,
perch and zander from just underneath the surface. It
glides easily from side to side, triggering furious
strikes. When paused it levels out in a complete horizontal
position and sinks very slowly. The long "hang" time keeps
the lure in the strikezone which is ideal for predatory
fish who love this action and will strike the lure. The
Gliding Woody is available in two sizes and weights - the
120, 25g and the 180, 95g.
The Gliding Woody is made from hard and light willow wood
fitted with stainless steel rings and Kenzaki high carbon
steel treble hooks. They are sealed with five epoxy layers
for supreme strength.
Wounded Woody
The Wounded Woody is an innovative top water lure. Instead
of facing belly down like most ordinary lures, it lays on
its side to expose the full profile downwards in the water.
At rest it hangs head up since the back end of the lure is
weighted. This makes it flip up and down while gliding
sideways across the surface imitating the swim pattern of
an injuired bait fish. The lure is designed for long casts
and is perfect for jerk bait fishing in shallow water. This
lure has proven to be very effective in clear lakes and
rivers and in snaggy areas for large predatory fish. This
lure will provide plenty of surface action.
